        Double Flowering Hepatica
Among this group are some of the most beautiful double flowered plants going.  Several hundred selections are offered in Japan and some cost as much as 100,000 yen or more.  We will be offering an increasing selection of double flowered, named varieties in the most incredible color range. We also offer a few of the choicest single flowered clones. A fantastic pink double.  The outer ring of petals (7,8) are larger and more rounded. Piled on top are layer upon layer of slightly smaller petals.  When fully open the innermost 3 to 4 rings of petals are tipped green, the very center fading to white.

Each petal of this fantastic single is edged with a  dark deep purple line, as you progress towards the center the outer third of each petal is a strong burgundy-purple.  This suffuses in the central third and towards the base of each petal to a near  white.  As a bonus the tips of the stamens are a deep dark purple instead of the usual green. Lycoris
A great group of bulbs from China and Japan that are similar to the naked ladies  (Nerines).  Flowers are produced in the fall followed by the strap like foliage.  Flowers are carried on bare stems and are more or less recurved with prominent stamens protruding.  Plant in average well drained soil 7-10cm deep on the coast and twice as deep in colder areas.  In a few years you'll have clusters of flowers in fall when few other blooms are available.
